OPL 2010 is located in the shallow offshore eastern Niger Delta. Matrix E&P holds a 60% participating interest and operatorship following its farm-in from GPDC and subsequent receipt of the required regulatory and Ministerial approvals.
The block has an established exploration history, with five wells previously drilled. Matrix E&P has advanced the asset into a new phase of exploration through the completion of a blockwide 3D seismic acquisition programme covering approximately 368 km² in full-fold coverage.
The acquired seismic data is currently being processed and will support further subsurface evaluation, prospect maturation and future exploration and development decisions.
OPL 2010 represents a strategic exploration opportunity within Matrix E&P's portfolio and provides potential for future portfolio growth as the Company progresses its subsurface evaluation and development programme.
