Overview
Apani Field is an onshore asset in the Niger Delta, Rivers State. The field was discovered in 1980 and subsequently awarded to Matrix Energy Group through the 2020 Marginal Field Bid Round.
AEL has advanced the redevelopment of Apani through an extensive drilling, facilities and infrastructure programme. The Company re-entered, sidetracked and completed Apani-01ST as a dual producer in 2023, following the drilling of Apani-02.
AEL has established gas commercialisation arrangements through a Gas Sales Agreement with Indorama Petrochemicals and a CNG offtake arrangement with Matrix Energy Limited.
These infrastructure and commercial arrangements position Apani for near-term production and provide opportunities for future development synergies with nearby stranded fields.
