Executive Director & Chief Strategy Officer

Luqman Salam-Alada is an Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer of Matrix Energy Group, with over two decades of experience spanning energy operations, petroleum supply and trading, infrastructure management and enterprise strategy.

He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and has undertaken executive and technical training in international oil trading, energy supply, risk management and business strategy with institutions including BP Oil International, Oxford Princeton Programme, ICE Education and PwC.

He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Matrix Energy Group, where he coordinated group-wide operations across storage terminals, supply-chain logistics, trading and major infrastructure projects in Nigeria and Ghana. In his current role, he leads strategy, growth initiatives, market intelligence, partnerships and enterprise performance. He is also responsible for crude commercial activities and evacuation, providing oversight of the commercial and logistics interface required to move crude from Matrix E&P's assets to market.
