Akinpelu Shittu is a Petroleum Engineer with over 25 years of hands-on experience in drilling, completions, well engineering and production support across Nigeria's onshore, swamp and offshore environments.

He is a graduate of Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan and is IWCF Level 4 certified, with additional training in well design, well control, coiled tubing, wireline, snubbing operations and project management. His career includes senior technical roles with NPDC, Total Upstream Nigeria, SAPETRO, Waltersmith and other indigenous and oilfield service companies.

At Matrix E&P, he provides technical governance and execution oversight for drilling, completions, well interventions and well delivery across the upstream portfolio. His expertise spans well design, drilling optimisation, casing and cementing, completions, workovers, contractor management and cost control, supporting safe and efficient execution of the Company's development programmes.
